High-resolution digital files are always included with your session — so you’ll have full printing rights without any additional fees. However, depending on your chosen location, a photography permit may be required. In general, more spots within Washington, D.C. tend to have permit fees compared to locations in Maryland or Virginia, though it varies. Some of the most commonly requested D.C. sites that do require permits include the National Mall and Memorial Parks (like the Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Tidal Basin, and Reflecting Pool), as well as areas around the U.S. Capitol.

Yes, I do reschedule sessions in the case of rain or severe weather — your comfort and the quality of your photos are my top priorities. I’ll keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your shoot, and if it looks like rain, I’ll be in touch to discuss options. Whether that means adjusting the time, choosing a covered location, or picking a new date, I’m happy to work with you to make sure we still get beautiful, stress-free photos.

It really depends on the location! If you're proposing at a popular spot like the DC monuments, I blend right in with the crowd — just another tourist with a camera, hiding in plain sight. For quieter, more secluded locations, I’ll usually be tucked behind a tree, a building corner, or whatever natural cover is available. I’ve played the part of a bird watcher, a tour guide, even a staff photographer working on a brochure — I’ve got plenty of believable cover stories and some pretty solid acting skills to keep the surprise safe!
